Gulluk has now announced the new luxury 149,000m3 marina to be built soon. This is a major benefit to this already popular resort. Read on for more details …….

The new stunning 149,000m3 luxury marina has been given the go ahead, showing the continuing Investment in Gulluk. This will mean there will be a total of 4 marinas in the local area.

It is clear that Gulluk will be an extremely popular location for this increasingly buoyant market, especially with its close proximity to Bodrum International Airport, being only 10km away and will help to bring both Investment to Gulluk with the many boats that will be berthing in these marinas, together with maintaining property prices.

There has already been an increased interest in property here, by those that know what infrastructure has been put in and is to come.

Gulluk itself (translated means "place of roses", it is a picturesque traditional (quite large) fishing village. The village is set in a protected bay on the Aegean coast and enjoys the most remarkable and romantic sunsets. Surrounded by forests; olive, almond and orange plantations, the Bay of Gulluk is full of small-unspoilt villages, bays, coves and beaches.

Gulluk and the surrounding area are benefiting from an increase in visitors and hosts a large number of bars and restaurants mostly offering great food at great local prices, though up-market dining can also be found. The area is regarded as "chic" and "exclusive" and attracts wealthy Turkish and International visitors.

A new 2 km long paved promenade has recently been completed and a new soon to be built exclusive marina and several golf courses is firmly making Gulluk an international premier holiday destination. Already the Vita Park Golf Resort is open and is just a 15 min drive away.

The plans for Gulluk are very exciting and tourism experts have already referred to it as the future "Portofino of Turkey" and thus the perfect holiday location for those seeking quiet and peaceful surroundings, combined with the ability to undertake all manner of activities including golf, walking and water sports (scuba diving, sailing, snorkelling, windsurfing, water ski-ing, surfing, canoeing). The renaissance of Gulluk is already under way and even with all the exciting plans for the village, you can be assured that Gulluk retains its special charm and character.

Also known as the "fishing paradise of Turkey", it is not surprising that the village of Gulluk is famous for its fish restaurants, where sea bass and sea bream are the speciality.

Gulluk enjoys the enviable position of being in a quiet and peaceful location but it is by no means remote. Of its many plus points, one is Gulluk's location and accessibility.

Gulluk village boasts all facilities a holidaymaker could want, including banks, ATM's, post office, large "Migros" supermarket, telephone and internet connections, taxis/car hire, bus station, boat (incl Gulets) and fishing trips and boats/yachts for hire. The market is open several days of the week and as well as being exotic, colourful and fun, offers some great bargains.

From Gulluk a wide variety of excursions and activities can be undertaken, including plenty of water-sports, walking, cycling, visits to historical sites etc.

Restricted Development

Development in Gulluk is restricted to low rise buildings and with the limited availability of land, Gulluk is unlikely to be over developed, keeping property prices at a premium in the future.

The property prices in Gulluk are excellent value compared to others areas on the Bodrum Peninsular and with the new infrastructure within the area, this really is a property hotspot in Bodrum.

The Vita golf course in Tuzla, is only a short 10 minute drive away, the airport only 15 minutes and only 30 minutes to Bodrum centre, means there is great rental potential for both holiday makers and golf enthusiasts Worldwide. New proposed golf courses are already in the planning, in Bodrum, giving further indication of the popularity of the area and undoubtedly will benefit the local property market.

Over the past 12 months, sparked by the relocation of the commercial port and the construction of a new private yacht marina, Gulluk has proved a hotspot for property investors. The local municipality is firmly committed to establishing Gulluk as a holiday destination of choice and is actively promoting tourism in the area. This pretty fishing town is already benefiting from new shops, restaurants and bars. In addition many of the Beach areas are being extended to provide greater space and amenities, with beach clubs the perfect place to relax.

The Vita Golf course in Tuzla is the first of many planned golf courses for the area and will undoubtedly benefit the local property market.
